Film Stills

In my handmade photo-montages, I explore the dark and suspenseful world of human emotion. I like to create environments that instigate something is going on but leave a lot unsolved. In these "film stills", I like to feel like a cameraman who  stages unresolved narratives, using space as a psychological metaphor of alienation, strangeness or fear. I use contrasts, 'inside' and 'outside' close up's and faraway's, play with light and dark, to emphasize the 'narrative of spaces'. Inspiration comes from Dostojewski, Ibsen, Bergman and Hitchcock.

"Led by my passion for theater and the human soul I use photo-montage to stage unresolved narratives of fear and alienation, irresolute desire, and tension between people."
